Welcome to "On The Screen" where, from time to time, you'll find interesting and provocative points of view regarding the media that lies beyond comics (yet, in many ways, is related).

It Is About The Money

Contagion grabs the #1 slot with $22.4 million.

The Help slides back to #2 with $8.9 million.

Warrior is in at #3 with $5.2 million.

The Debt drops to #4 with $4.7 million.

Colombiana reaches the #5 spot with $3.9 million.

Final Destination 5

The story finally ends... or does it???

 Fright Night

McLovin as a vampire, that's all you need to know.

Transformers 3

Wow! Enjoyable WITHOUT Megan Fox. Whoda thunk it.

Green Lantern

Try not to think about the comic book and you just might find this to be enjoyable.

X-Men: First Class

Can remind you, at times, of Dr. Who, but otherwise a good solid film.

Pirates

Seems to lag at times but Depp and Cruz keep it interesting.

Priest

Better than Jonah Hex, but not by much.

Thor

Forget the comic, look past the sub par 3D, and this is actually enjoyable

Fast Five

The Fugitive? Not quite.
Dark Knight Returns? No.
XXX? (sigh).
A (Fresh Prince) Carlton sighting? Maybe.
Otherwise..., enjoyable

Source Code

Interesting chess game between a hero and a wannabe hero.

Sucker Punch

Great visuals..., and that's about it.

Drive Angry

Shades of Ghost Rider as Nicholas Cage's character is eerily reminiscent of Johnny Blaze.
Still fun to watch, though.

The Green Hornet

I could live with the nonsense if the character truly developed into a hero.
